2022 La Superba Barbera originates from the Cooper Ranch Vineyard, nestled in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, California. Situated at an elevation slightly exceeding 1000 feet, our valley, once famed for cultivating walnuts, underwent a transformative shift in the 1980s. This transition saw the introduction of grape cultivation, guided by the viticulture program at UC Davis. Since that pivotal period, Cooper Ranch has solidified its standing as one of the oldest vineyards in the region, gaining particular renown for its cultivation of Barbera grapes in the Sierra Foothills.
